I have been having the problem that it’s difficult to choose a restaurant to go to and we often end up going to a restaurant where I have been to because there are so many restaurants having good reviews in NYC. If you have the same experience, I will recommend going to Osteria Del Bianco. It’s not a Michelin restaurant, but I think they deserve it. According to the reviews, their lasagna is popular. We ordered it and also seafood spaghetti from today’s special, tortellini in brodo and gamberoni con cannelli. Usually I hesitate to eat pasta, but I decided to eat seafood spaghetti since the chef is Italian. This decision was right. My seafood pasta had a good amount of seafood like mussels, shrimp and calamari. I could taste a bit of chilli with tomato sauce. Spaghetti was perfect al dente. My daughter ordered lasagna and I could taste it a bit. The pasta sheets were amazingly light and thin, and the bolognese sauce was thick but not heavy. I agree with the reviews. This might be an iconic dish here. Please try to have it if you have a chance. Also, I have to mention about gamberoni con cannelli. I like beans and seafood, and this dish was just perfect. White beans were not only sweet but also had a fragrance. The Shrimp were firm, which reminded me of one of Japanese cuisine, grilled shrimps with salt. I bet we will order this again when we go back.
I’m not sure about wine since we stopped drinking. I could see various wines on the shelf and there was a bar. They should have a solid wine list.

マンハッタンには、高評価のレストランがたくさんあって、見れば見るほど悩んだ経験はありませんか?そんな時におすすめしたいのが、こちらのイタリアン料理を提供してくれるOsteria Del Biancoです。ミシュランを獲得したお店ではないですが、十二分においしいです。ラザニアが有名です。私は普段パスタを外で食べませんが、シェフがイタリア人なので、今回はパスタ(本日のおすすめ/魚介類のスパゲティ)を注文しました。ムール貝やイカ、えびが入っていて、ちょっとピリ辛のトマトベース。スパゲティの硬さもいい塩梅でした。
娘がラザニアだったので、少し食べました。口の中にいれた瞬間、軽い!と驚きました。私が今まで食べてきたラザニアは、ラザニアが分厚く、重いという感想しかありませんでした。でもこちらのはとても薄く、ソースが絶妙です。定評があるのに納得する一品です。
そして話は前後しますが、前菜で頼んだ白豆とえびの煮込みは絶品でした。白ワインで味付けしたのでしょうか?すごく香りがよく、しっかり引き締まったえびも食べ応えがあって、美味です。これはまた食べたいです。
我が家はワインを飲まないので分かりませんが、たくさんの種類がありました。バーもあったので、軽く飲みたい人にもいいかもしれません。雰囲気もいいお店なので、多くの人に行ってもらいたいです!
