It is a 22-acre, privately owned nature park. You can see 4 waterfalls in the park and they provide safe trail access for all ages. During winter, you can see the snowmelt water, which is beautiful and amazing. There are the platforms where you could feel the water spraying you. There is a restaurant and a bathroom here.
According to their website, it is said that their Anorthosite boulder is over 1.5 billion years old. Anorthosite is the base rock for the Adirondacks and is similar to the rock that was found on the moon. I hope you have a chance to stop by High Falls Gorge.

ここではレイクプラシッド近辺の観光名所を紹介いたします。今回は、ハイフォールズゴージという滝についてです。こちらの公園は個人が所有する公園で、22エーカーの広さがあります。公園内では4つの滝をみることができ、きれいに整備された道を歩いて回ります。冬の場合、雪解け水が流れるのを見ることができます。かなりの迫力ですよ。小さなお子さんでも、容易に滝まで歩くことができるので、家族連れの観光地としては、ぴったりだと思います。小さなお店の中にはレストラン、トイレも完備されています。
HPにの説明によると、15億年以上前の岩があり、月で見つかったものと似ているとのことです。トレイルには、子供が読んで楽しめる説明がたくさんあるので、子供と一緒に読んで進むのもいいかもしれません。マイナスイオンたっぷり感じられる場所でした。
