This store, which is owned by a Japanese person, Satoshi Kawamoto, has shops in Manhattan and Milan. The Manhattan store is located in the Soho/Nolita area, so it is easy to reach if you are going to lower Manhattan. The store sells things like vintage clothing, interior goods like aromatic candles, and ornamental houseplants. Personally, I go there for the plants.
　Since coming to America, I have not found many stores that specialize in ornamental houseplants. I’ve tried buying plants at places like home improvement stores, but their selection is limited. I finally came across this store while reluctantly trying to buy the kinds of plants I wanted online. If you do see something that you like there, don’t wait to come back and buy it later, I recommend buying it right then and there. Thankfully, the store was also selling fashionable terracotta and ceramic pots to go with the plants. The ceramic pots do not have holes on the bottom, but the store staff can drill one upon request for 5 dollars. I was very thankful that this service was offered. There is not much information posted around the store, so you will need to ask a store attendant for anything you need.
　The store itself is small and tightly-packed, so it is like a little oasis for people who like houseplants. If it is not something you are interested in (as was the case for my husband and daughter),  you’ll find yourself looking through the selection rather quickly. There is also no delivery option, so plan ahead for how you are going to bring the plants back home.

　日本人のSatoshi Kawamotoさんがオーナーのこちらのお店は、マンハッタンとイタリアミラノに店舗があります。アメリカの店舗は、SOHOやNOLITAに近い場所にあるので、ロウアー・マンハッタンに予定がある人にとっては、行きやすい場所です。お店にはヴィンテージ衣類、アロマキャンドルのようなインテリア雑貨、観葉植物などが売られています。私個人的には、観葉植物を購入するお店という位置づけです。
　渡米してから、観葉観葉植物を売っているお店になかなか出会えませんでした。ホームセンターで購入することもできますが、種類が限られています。欲しい品種は、しぶしぶインターネットで買うことが日常になっていた時に、こちらのお店に出会いました。マンハッタンにあるので、お目当ての植物があった場合、次回来た時に買おう！ではなく、その場で購入することをおすすめします。ありがたいことに、店内にはテラコッタやセラミックのおしゃれな鉢なども購入することができます。セラミックの鉢は下に穴が開いていないので、穴が欲しい場合は店員さんにお願いすると5ドルで開けてくれます。このサービスはありがたいですよね。案内が店内に貼っているわけではないので、必要な方は店員さんに聞いてみてください。
　小さなお店の中に、ぎっしり質のいいものが詰まっているので、観葉植物を好む人にとってはオアシス。興味がない人にとっては（私の主人や娘）、すぐに見終わる空間といった感じでしょうか？ちなみに観葉植物の配達はしていないようですので、購入する際は持ち帰りのことを考えて購入してください。
