Counting Miracles

Here is the review of Counting Miracles by Nicholas Sparks. I chose this book to read because it’s the New York Time’s best seller.
This book follows three stories, Tanner’s a military veteran, Jasper an elderly neighbor, and Kaitlyn with her two kids Casey and Mitch. Tanner was raised by his grandparents. When his grandmother passed away, she let him know his real father’s name. Jasper lives in a cabin bordering a national forest with only his old dog. He is haunted by a tragic accident that took place decades before.
It showcases the struggle with faith in God, struggles of life’s unimaginable things, and love. I felt like this book tells you truly miracles do happen in everyday life.

Counting Miracles by Nicholas Sparksの感想を書きます。ニューヨークタイムズのベストセラーに選ばれているので、読むことにしました。
物語は、退役軍人のタナー、83歳の老人ジャスパー、二人の子供を一人で育てているケイトリンの3人の視点で書かれています。信仰との闘い、人生の想像を絶するものとの闘い、そして愛が描かれています。タナーの母親はタナーが生まれた際に亡くなったので、祖父母に育てられました。父親を知らずに育ったタナーですが、祖母が亡くなる際、実の父親の名前と住んでいる街の名前を残してくれます。そこからタナーの実父探しが始まります。
ジャスパーは山奥に老犬と静かに暮らしており、彼には悲しい過去があります。
家族とは、愛情とは、真実とは何なのか。奇跡は起きるということを感じさせてくれる本だと思います。
