I will introduce recommended spots for hiking with children in the United States. Today, I will introduce you to Devil’s Bridge Trail in Arizona. It’s an iconic, highly popular hike famous for its stunning natural sandstone arch.
There is a parking lot but it is very limited. My recommendation is to take a free Sedona shuttle. If you ride a truck or SUV and have the confidence to drive a bumpy road, you can drive up to the main trailhead.
There are so many people there because of the popularity. The last 1/2 mile or so is a decent climb up, lots of stair steps, sometimes requiring the use of hands. It isn’t anything too dangerous or scary though. The hardest part is waiting for traffic to come up or move down so you can proceed. If you want to take pictures on the Devil’s Bridge, I expect you need to wait in the line like we did. Our waiting time was around 40~50mins, it was winter around noon. We were covered by the shade of the mountain and it was windy. We felt so cold. If you go up in summer, I assume it will be very hot. Mind your clothes and what you bring with you.
The bridge is wider than I expected. It is worth it to hike up and see the panorama views from the top. I recommend it.

アメリカで、子連れハイキングのおすすめスポットを紹介していきます。今回はアリゾナ州にある、デビルズ・ブリッジを紹介します。セドナのハイキングコースといえば、必ずトップ10に入る象徴的な場所なので、とても人気があります。
駐車場はとても小さいので、すぐに満車になります。おすすめは、無料シャトルバスに乗ることです。そして、SUV車に乗っていて、凸凹道の運転に自信がある人は、ドライ・クリーク・ロードまで車で行けます。
とにかく人が多いので、自分のペースでは歩けません。そしてSUV車が走るので、砂ぼこりがすごいです。最後の800メートルほどは急な登り坂で、階段が多く、時には手を使わなければならない箇所もありますが、難しいハイキングトレイルではありません。ブリッジで写真を撮るには、列に並んで順番を待ちます。我が家は冬のお昼前後に登って、約40～50分待ちました。この待ち時間、山の影になり、寒かったです。夏場は逆に暑いかもしれません。服装には注意が必要です。
写真で見るより、意外とスペースはあるので安定感はありますが、やはり高所恐怖症の人には怖いかもしれません。でも写真映えはしますし、橋から見えるパノラマビューはセドナならではなので、おすすめしたい場所です！
