Gone Girl

I decided to read Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn because it is very popular and was made into a movie. My husband told me it’s rare for me to pick this book to read because he has watched the movie before and also asked me not to do the same things for him.
Nick and Amy Dunne’s fifth wedding anniversary is coming. Amy prepares the treasure hunting for the anniversary with their memories every year, but Nick fails to solve it every time. This year, Nick was planning to have a nice anniversary present for her.
On the morning at the marriage anniversary, Amy disappears from home. Police start investigating the case and Nick will be the first suspect to kill his wife.
Why was Amy killed or is she still alive? By who and where she is if she is alive.
I could understand why my husband was surprised at first because it was not my type of book at all. I like mystery but this is unpleasant. If you like lots of f-bombs, you might like this book.

Gone Girl by Gillian Flynnの感想を書きます。この本は、とても人気があり、映画化された小説でもあったので読むことにしました。本を読み始めた時、主人はどうやら驚いたようで、「同じことを企まないで！」と冗談交じりに言われました。
ニックとエイミーの5年目の結婚記念日から、話は始まります。エイミーは毎年、結婚記念日には二人の思い出が入ったトレジャーハンティングを計画していますが、毎年ニックは解くことができないので憂鬱です。今年こそは5年目という節目の記念日を、エイミーを喜ばせれるよう企画をしますが、結婚記念日に妻が失踪してしまいます。警察は、殺人事件とみて捜査を開始、犯人は夫のニックであるという証拠が次々に発見され、ニックは焦ります。
エイミーは殺害されたのか、それとも誘拐されたのか？誰に、何の目的で？ということを、二人の視点からみていきます。
読みながら、なぜ主人が驚いたのか理解できました。全く私の好みではなかったので、一冊を読み終わるまでが苦痛でした。自己主張の強い、汚い言葉が飛び交うような本を好む人にはいいかもしれません。
